Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s request to have the legal notice included in the record of his defamation lawsuit against Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has been postponed by a Lahore sessions court.
Extra Sessions After hearing both sides’ arguments today, Judge Yilmaz Ghani reserved the ruling. On July 10, the court will make its decision regarding PM Shehbaz’s plea public.
Due to the PTI founder’s claims on a television channel, PM Shehbaz launched a defamation suit against him. The former claimed that the allegations harmed his reputation and sought Rs10 billion in damages.
According to the prime minister’s defamation lawsuit, the PTI founder said in a television broadcast on April 26, 2017.
