ISLAMABAD: Under a government-backed program, the Center hopes to make more than 300,000 electric loaders and 100,000 electric bikes available to the general public at discounted prices and with easy loans, it announced on Friday.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who is presiding over a high-level meeting today, stated that encouraging the use of electric vehicles (EVs) would help safeguard the environment, boost local industry, save billions of dollars in foreign cash, and lessen Pakistan’s reliance on imported petroleum.
He oversaw the creation of a thorough action plan to lower the cost of electric vehicles and increase their accessibility for regular people nationwide.
The prime minister also declared that free electric motorcycles would be given to top-performing pupils from all school boards, including the federal board.
