Five suspected suicide bombers who sought refuge in a mosque were apprehended by security authorities after they successfully prevented an infiltration attempt by terrorists at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
The accused in custody are citizens of Afghanistan. The military established roadblocks at five distinct places in response to intelligence.
At 5 p.m. on July 17, militants made an effort to enter Pakistani territory, and by 6:25 p.m., they had advanced into Aziz Khel and Mandi Khel. Using a well-coordinated approach, the forces swiftly surrounded the militants who were holed up in a mosque in Baisi Khel, leading to the terrorists’ surrender.
Three of the detained individuals, who range in age from 15 to 18, had Afghan identification cards. While security efforts in the region continue, they have been moved to an undisclosed location for additional interrogation.
