Finally, Zach Cregger has spoken out about Pedro Pascal’s loss of the role of Archer Graffin in Weapons.
The director openly acknowledged that Pascal was the initial pick for the position in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
“I had a whole different cast for this movie,” he said, recalling the fallout that films experienced when Pascal was left out of the cast.
Cregger went on to say, “And then we had the strike, and then Pedro Pascal’s schedule threw us into turmoil,” explaining why he was not cast. I had to completely recast the film.
The director clarified, “The strikes caused us to be delayed, and when you delay, people’s schedules clash, and you’re back to square one.”
