LAHORE: In a case involving happenings on May 9, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore released Shershah, the nephew of PTI founder Imran Khan and the son of his siter Aleema Khan, to police on Saturday for a five-day physical remand.
In relation to the Jinnah House attack case, in which his brother Shahrez is also charged, Shershah was taken into custody on Friday. Under close police supervision, he was brought before the court.
The arrest was made just one day after Shahrez was arrested in connection with the May 9 violence.
After PTI founder Imran Khan was arrested in 2023 on corruption charges, the May 9 riots erupted nationwide.
