53-year-old Anderson of Scotland won 8–6, ending his 10-year drought without a European Tour victory.
After ending a seven-year break from the circuit in 2023, Anderson was participating in just his fourth European Tour event.
“It’s been a very long time,” Anderson stated.

“I have no idea how I won this evening. I’ve never been as fortunate in darts in my last three games.”
After Anderson leveled the match at 6-6, the players engaged in a fierce battle to regain their best play, with little separating them.
