KARACHI: Sahibzada Farhan, the opener for Islamabad United, is aiming for a long-term international career and a return to the Pakistan team. He is counting on his impressive Pakistan Super League and National T20 play to push his way back into the national picture.
The 29-year-old batsman made it clear in an exclusive interview with News that securing a permanent spot in the national team is more important to him than a fleeting opportunity. “My goal is to play for Pakistan again and stay in the team for the long term, not just for one or two matches,” Farhan stated. “When I return, I want to cement my place, not just make a brief appearance.”
Farhan attributed his dominating achievements, which included smashing three hundreds, in the recent National T20 Cup.
