Mustaqeem Khalid, who was only 20 years old at the time, reportedly joined the police in 2006.
However, Khalid’s service was terminated in 2011 due to his repeated, unjustified absences from duty.
In 2016, he had suddenly gone missing from his house in Kalar Syedan. After a frantic search for him, his family claimed he was not mentally stable.
Khalid remained missing for seven years until today, when police found him begging in Dheri Hassanabad after allegedly being kidnapped by a gang.
Three female gang members were also taken into custody by police. Samina and Maryam, two sisters, are among the women who were arrested.
