KARACHI: Due to a global trend toward declining oil prices, petroleum product prices are anticipated to fall in Pakistan during the upcoming price review on April 30, according to a Thursday article in The News.
Diesel and gasoline prices have decreased by $4.3 and $1.86 a barrel, respectively, on the international market. As a result, domestic market prices are predicted to decrease by Rs7.85 and Rs3.75.
On the global market, the price of a barrel of gasoline is currently $107.16 and diesel is $104.76.
The journal was informed by experts in the oil business that the global market for petroleum products is seeing a downward trend in prices. If this impact is felt locally, local petroleum product costs may also drop.
The oil sector will release the final data on April 29, 2024, accounting for the price trends over the preceding fifteen days.
The analysts note that there remains volatility in global prices despite a brief period of drop, and they are unsure of how they will move in the following four to five days.
