According to information obtained by News, Blackstone is getting ready to submit a revised bid for the Hipgnosis Songs Fund (HSF) as soon as Monday.
Insiders say that its bid will surpass the $1.25 per share offer from Concord Music, a larger rival, that the HSF board recommended last Thursday.
The most recent shot in an escalating bidding war will highlight the two bidders’ rising resolve to prevail in a fight for some of the most recognizable assets in the world market.
Songs by musicians Blondie and the Kaiser Chiefs are also owned by the news.
Over the weekend, news broke that Blackstone had previously put in three bids for the London-listed music rights investment company, and that a fourth bid had been made straight away.
