The International Cricket Council (ICC) published the Women’s T20I ranking on Tuesday, and Pakistani spinner Sadia Iqbal took the top spot among spinners once again.
Iqbal, who was instrumental in Pakistan’s effort at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup the previous year, moved up one spot to take the top spot again.
Following a revision in the rankings due to Sophie Ecclestone, England’s top spinner, missing the most recent Twenty20 International series against the West Indies, she has returned to the top.
Ecclestone, who had been leading, fell to fourth place, giving Iqbal the opportunity to reclaim the slot she had briefly occupied at the World Cup the previous year.
