On Monday, the Supreme Court granted the Sunni Ittehad Council’s (SIC) appeal against the Peshawar High Court’s (PHC) reserved seat finding, but it also stayed the PHC’s decision.
The party’s request to be denied reserved seats was denied by the Pakistani Election Commission (ECP).
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah declared, “[We are adopting the SIC’s] appeals [against the PHC ruling] and questioned what law [reserved] seats were allotted to other parties.
