LAHORE: According to a Friday story on News, a young researcher from Lahore, Pakistan, was slain after he resisted a heist in Porto, Portugal.
Anthony Shoukat, the victim, was named by his family as having traveled to Portugal for a Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital research study.
They made a plea to the authorities to assist them in locating the victim’s body as soon as possible and apprehending the offenders.
According to the family, Anthony completed his PhD in Germany and his master’s degree in Sweden.
Fahimuddin, a Pakistani-German, was slain in Ulm in March after his family was attacked with a knife. He had moved to Germany permanently after leaving the Azizabad neighborhood of Karachi.
Ahmed Saeed, a close friend of the victim, claimed that the attacker killed Fahimuddin after attacking his wife and daughters first. The attacker was alive, according to Saeed, and receiving medical attention in a hospital.
“The loss of Fahimuddin has also caused sadness to his friends and neighbors. Fahim had a lot of special times with us. Fahimuddin’s wife and daughters are in critical condition, and two of their daughters managed to save themselves by hiding.”
