According to Germany’s DPA news agency, foreign ministers representing thirteen nations have reportedly signed a statement urging Israel to cease its ground invasion of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip and to allow more humanitarian aid to reach the Palestinian people.
DPA referenced a story from the German daily Suddeutsche Zeitung that stated the four-page document was signed on Wednesday by all seven major industrialized countries (G7), excluding the United States.
The letter was signed by the foreign ministers of six G7 nations: Australia, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, South Korea, and Sweden, in addition to their counterparts from Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Japan, and Canada, according to Al Jazeera.
