Israel will respond to South Africa’s accusations that it has intensified a “genocide” campaign with its military operation in Rafah on Friday before the top court of the United Nations.
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has been petitioned by Pretoria to issue an order halting Israel’s attack on Rafah.
Previously, Israel emphasized its “unwavering” adherence to international law and denounced South Africa’s argument as “morally repugnant” and “wholly unfounded”.
Despite US concerns that over a million civilians seeking shelter in the area could be caught in the crossfire, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu launched the Rafah offensive.
