During his visit to the House of Commons on Thursday, Speaker of the National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq emphasized the value Pakistan places on parliamentary diplomacy, sharing democratic experiences and international practices, and learning democratic values, especially those of Britain’s Parliament.
The institutions had a unique duty to serve as a conduit between the people and the institutions of governance since they were the voice and representation of our people. A statement from the Pakistani High Commission in London was read.
The speaker of the NA made these statements during a meeting with Speaker of the House of Commons Sir Lindsay Hoyle in London. Lawmaker Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, were both present at the meeting.
