KARACHI: Following Indian attacks on the nation, including a drone that made its way to Rawalpindi Stadium, officials announced on Friday that Pakistan’s T20 cricket league would be moved to the United Arab Emirates.
According to Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s army “neutralized” 28 Indian drones on Thursday morning, including one close to the city’s stadium.
“A purposeful attempt to target both domestic and foreign cricket players,” he said.
“The remaining Pakistan Super League matches have been moved to the United Arab Emirates,” the PCB said in a statement, adding that the schedule would be revised when it was time.
