KARACHI: Workers’ remittances to Pakistan totaled $3.2 billion in April 2025, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced on Friday.
Inflows were down 22% from March, when remittances totaled $4.1 billion, but they were up 13.1% over the $2.81 billion received in April of previous year.
Total remittances increased 31% to $31.2 billion for the first 10 months of the current fiscal year (July-Apr FY25) compared to $23.9 billion during the same period previous year.
One of Pakistan’s main sources of foreign cash, remittances bolster the external account and increase household incomes.
