President Joe Biden told reporters on Thursday that Israel and the Palestinian organization Hamas had agreed to his proposed framework for a ceasefire in Gaza, but that there were still issues to be resolved.
“Both Israel and Hamas have now agreed upon that framework. In order to iron out the details, I dispatched my staff to the area,” Biden stated during a press conference.
“These are challenging, intricate problems. Gaps still need to be filled. We’re moving forward. Positive trends are being seen. “I’m committed to closing this deal and ending this war, which ought to stop right now,” Biden continued.
