Famous dramatist and screenwriter Khalilur Rehman Qamar recently shared his terrifying experience of being kidnapped, during which his captors invoked the names of actors Saba Qamar and Noman Ijaz.
Qamar described the incident in full in a podcast interview, admitting that at first he was hesitant to make a formal complaint because the actors’ names were involved.
He made it clear that, even though he doesn’t like Noman Ijaz and doesn’t agree with Saba Qamar, he still thinks highly of their acting abilities. He speculated that the abductors may have brought up their names to disorient and unsettle him.
The dramatist was taken aback by the love and support he got from his Indian followers during the ordeal, which stood in stark contrast to the hatred and derision he encountered in Pakistan. “I was unaware of the kidnappers’ intentions. He disclosed that, as a result of the incident’s grief, his wife now wants to leave Pakistan. Qamar, nevertheless, still feels a strong connection to his native country and has no intention of leaving.
