In Balochistan, the monsoon rains are still causing havoc. Three more individuals have died in various accidents during the most recent rainy spell in Quetta.
Since July 1, 19 people—including seven children—had died and 11 more have been injured, according to the Balochistan PDMA.
In the meantime, 307 dwellings have been partially damaged and 126 have been fully destroyed by the rain, affecting 3,031 people. In addition, 31 km of roads and six bridges have sustained damage. The rains have also harmed standing crops on 102 hectares of land, according to the PDMA.
Monsoon rains are still occurring, according to PDMA Director General Jahanzeb Khan, although food and non-food supplies have been distributed to 37 province districts. “The goal of preemptive measures is to prevent unexpected problems,” he said.
