Nearly two decades after calling off their first engagement, the Hollywood couple renewed their romance and got married in July 2022 in Las Vegas.
Court records viewed by the news program Exactly two years after their lavish wedding ceremony, which took place a month following their vacation to Vegas, Lopez submitted the paperwork on Tuesday.
According to a news source, Lopez stated the date of their separation as April 26, and there isn’t a prenuptial agreement.
Affleck, 52, and Lopez, 55, first got together on the set of their romantic comedy Gigli in 2001 or thereabouts, and the following year they announced their engagement.
They gained instant celebrity as a power couple in Hollywood, going by the nickname Bennifer.
However, the wedding was called off just before the big day in 2003 “due to the excessive media attention”; at the start of 2004, their breakup was made public.
Affleck married and had three children with actress Jennifer Garner, while Lopez married her longtime friend Marc Anthony and welcomed twins in 2008. Both went on to be married and have children with other partners.
When the then-single couple was pictured together in 2021, rumors of a reunion began to circulate. Later that year, they officially announced Bennifer’s homecoming.
