Experienced politician and former province minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, who is associated with the Awami National Party (ANP), has declared his intention to step down from legislative politics.
In a recent interview with our correspondent Sajjad Haider, Bilour, who has five terms as a member of the National Assembly from Peshawar, including a memorable win over Benazir Bhutto in the 1990s, explained his motivations.
Looking back on his political career, Bilor thanked the people of Peshawar for five consecutive elections. “I have never lost an election; I have been defeated by forces that do not meet the standards and cannot be fought against,” he stated.
