LAHORE: The goal of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) high-level “Connection Camp” at a nearby hotel in Lahore tomorrow (Monday) is to create a coherent and distinct vision for the sport’s future.
Over the past 12 months, the Green Team—captained by Shan Masood in Test cricket and Babar Azam in white-ball cricket—has suffered back-to-back setbacks. Most recently, they were humiliated 2-0 in a Test match against Bangladesh, following losses to Afghanistan and the United States in the 50-over and T20 World Cup competitions.
According to an official statement released on Sunday, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has been in meetings with former cricket players since taking office earlier this year. This strategy session is the culmination of those discussions.
