Following global market trends, Pakistani gold prices saw a notable increase again on Thursday, hitting a record high.
The cost of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs1,500, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), reaching a new high of Rs277,000. In a similar vein, 10 grams of 24-karat gold cost Rs1,285 more to settle at Rs237,482.
This rise follows on Wednesday’s record high price of Rs2,500 for a tola of gold, which was attained.
Gold prices surged on the foreign market as well. The global rate, according to APGJSA, was $2,665 per ounce, indicating a $12 daily gain.
Meanwhile, the price of silver on the local market remained stable at Rs 3,050 per tola.
