PPP sources claim that the party has recommended that the amendment be presented by the government either before or after October 18, since the PPP’s central leadership will be attending a demonstration in Hyderabad to remember the Karsaz tragedy on that day.
According to sources, the revisions might be introduced in parliament on October 17. The PPP had earlier objected to the modifications being introduced on October 13 since the federal government planned to implement the legislation that same Sunday.
Prior to October 13th, the federal administration had summoned back its allied and foreign lawmakers for this same purpose.
