On the fringes of the SCO Council of Heads of Government (CHG) meeting held here, the prime minister met bilaterally with the prime minister of Belarus, Roman Golovchenko. Recalling his “warm and productive” meeting with President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Astana in July of this year, the prime minister emphasized the importance of maintaining regular high-level exchanges given the positive momentum on bilateral ties. A press release from the PM Office stated as much.
In addition to congratulating Belarus on becoming a full member of the SCO, Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed Pakistan’s continued commitment to collaborating closely with Belarus in promoting the “Shanghai Spirit” and welcomed Belarus’ attendance at the SCO CHG meeting.
Golovchenko expressed his sincere congratulations to Pakistan for the well-run SCO CHG conference and its fruitful results.
He expressed his gratitude to Pakistan for their cordial greetings and hospitality.
