The head of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif, stated on Thursday that normalization of relations between India and Pakistan may start with the SCO summit, which was also attended by an Indian foreign minister on a rare visit.
In a meeting with an Indian journalist delegation that traveled to Pakistan to cover the just finished Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) moot, which was attended by foreign leaders from ten nations, he made the assertion.
Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz were also present at the meeting.
Nawaz emphasized the importance of reviving cricket diplomacy between South Asian countries, suggesting that the Indian cricket team should pay a visit to Pakistan in 2025 for the ICC Champions Trophy.
