Early on Wednesday morning, a fire broke out in the pine forests of the Koh-e-Sulaiman mountain range, and the district’s emergency services responded quickly.
Under the direction of Emergency Officer Naumanullah Marwat, Rescue 1122 organized a 16-person firefighting crew to put out the fire in the Kundai Qaisah Ghar region.
Firefighters from every district rescue station were dispatched out, armed with personal protective equipment and fire extinguishers, according to a Rescue 1122 representative.
The fire is still being fought, and methods like starving and smothering are being used to put out the flames in the difficult steep terrain that fire engines cannot reach.
