Following the release of footage online showing masked men brandishing Swastika flags and yelling racial epithets, the White House denounced a neo-Nazi march that occurred in Ohio over the weekend.
A spokesperson stated Monday that the march was a “sickening display” and that President Biden “abhors the hateful poison of Nazism, antisemitism, and racism – which are hostile to everything the United States stands for.”
The footage showed about a dozen individuals marching through the streets of Columbus with flags with red swastikas while wearing black clothing and hiding their faces.
Some members of the group were temporarily held by police on Saturday, but they were later freed after it was determined that no laws had been broken.
