In a deal valued at Rs115 million, a businessman was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cooperative Crime Circle for reportedly transferring soil and gravel in 60 containers to a Chinese company in lieu of chrome ore.
The News reported that Syed Zeeshan Afzal Bilgrami, the proprietor of M/s Danzo Traders, has been charged by FIA officers in Karachi under several sections, including 406, 420, 468, 471, and 109.
After a complaint from Ms. Corin Chen of a Chinese import company sparked an investigation, the FIR was submitted. In the case, Bilgrami and Jiangsu Provincial Foreign Trade Corporation signed a contract on January 17, 2024, for the export of 1,500 metric tons of chrome ore from Karachi.
