A Karachi sessions court denied a domestic helper’s bail request in relation to a case of sexual assault involving a teenage girl.
On October 15, the accused allegedly broke into the girl’s room without her consent and assaulted her at her residence in DHA Phase 6.
A police complaint was filed when the victim told her mother about the incident.
The suspect, who had previously worked for ten years and for six months at the complainant’s home, asked Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdul Zahoor Chandio for pre-arrest release.
Nonetheless, the court found that the victim’s statements were substantiated by the facts, pointing out that her mother and other witnesses backed up her story.
