Bushra Bibi’s recent claim that Saudi Arabia was involved in the 2022 overthrow of former Prime Minister Imran Khan has drawn harsh criticism from various political figures within the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), who have emphasized the significance of preserving cordial and strategic international relations.
The PML-N leaders condemned the PTI founder’s better half for accusing Saudi Arabia of helping to topple the Imran Khan-led government in 2022 in a rare video message released on Thursday.
“Targeting Saudi Arabia for political gains is regrettable,” said Ishaq Dar, the foreign minister and deputy prime minister, in response to the statement. The sentence conveys a sense of desperation.
In order to achieve their goals, he advised political parties to avoid sacrificing foreign policy, emphasizing the fraternal ties between Pakistan.
