Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also known as “Fitna al-Khawarij,” may attack the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) “do or die” rally that is set for tomorrow, November 24, in Islamabad, according to a danger notice sent by the National Counter Terrorism Authority (Nacta) on Saturday.
The country’s leading counterterrorism organization issued a warning, stating that TTP militants are capable of carrying out terror attacks in major cities.
As the previous ruling party gets ready to stage rallies in the federal capital, Nacta stated, “There are reports of terrorists entering Pakistan from Afghanistan.”
Nacta wrote to the chief commissioner and inspector generals of Islamabad, citing the security threat. It has also informed the chief commissioners of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) and Gilgit-Baltistan of the threat notice.
