Rescue crews are still looking for survivors after a tourist boat sank in the Red Sea off the eastern coast of Egypt, and four bodies have been discovered.
Rescue workers have discovered five persons alive, including one Egyptian, two Belgians, one Swiss, and one Finn, according to Red Sea Governor Amr Hanafi’s statement on Tuesday. This brings the overall number of survivors to 33.
Seven persons are still missing, and the identities of the four fatalities are yet unknown.
Hanafi told the AFP news agency, “Rescue operations are ongoing today, supported by multiple divers, a frigate, and a military helicopter.”
The incident happened on Monday when the Sea Story boat, which was on a multi-day diving excursion with 31 passengers and 13 personnel, capsized.
