According to police, the 65-year-old suspect Perry Kouroumblis was only the subject of their investigation in recent years due to advancements in DNA testing.
In September, Mr. Kouroumblis, who has not been indicted and insists he is innocent, was arrested in Italy. According to local media, he is anticipated to appear in court later this week if accused.
