ISLAMABAD: Justice Mansoor Ali Shah of the Supreme Court expressed disappointment on Saturday that he is unable to interpret laws since he is not a member of the constitutional bench, which was established following recent judicial changes, to handle important matters.
Speaking at a child-related event in Islamabad, the senior puisne judge voiced his worries.
After considering the situation’s ramifications, Justice Shah stated that interpretation is necessary for Article 11(3) of the Constitution, which addresses children’s rights.
He remarked, “I cannot provide this interpretation anymore; but you can,” pointing to Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, his colleague who was also present at the hearing.
