ISLAMABAD: Aleema Khan’s assertion that she was given the speedy release of her brother and party founder Imran Khan has been denied by Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Barrister Gohar stated over the phone with News that it was incorrect to suggest that the PTI founder would be freed in 20 days in return for the sit-in being called off.
He argued that the government had not promised to free the PTI founder within 20 days and that he had not made any mention of the release.
The PTI chairman added that he had not gotten in touch with anyone about this on November 24 or earlier. He stated that there was no talk about meeting the PTI founder with the administration.
