Dolly Parton has revealed why Carl Thomas Dean, her husband, never showed up at any events to offer her support.
The singer opened up on the one event she and her spouse did go in an interview with the Dumb Blonde podcast.
She started off by adding, “He loves music, but he’s not the least bit interested in being in it.” “And he informed me of that straight away.”
Parton, who married Dean in 1966, also thought back on her 1967 smash song “Put it Off Until Tomorrow” from her Hello, I’m Dolly album at the time.
“In ’67, I pleaded with him to accompany me. In 1966, we had tied the knot. I thus received the first award at that time.
