ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court’s senior judges criticized the state institutions’ involvement in political affairs due to a pending trial of a 2017 murder. Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail chastised them for engaging in “political engineering” rather than carrying out their constitutional obligations.
In addition to Justice Mandokhail, SC Justices Athar Minallah and Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan also bemoaned the current situation in the nation during Friday’s hearing of a murder suspect’s bail petition.
It is important to highlight that Ishaq has not been arrested since he ran away after obtaining bail in this case.
According to Justice Minallah, “this case has been pending in the Supreme Court since 2017.”
