Before meeting with Vladimir Putin this week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated on Wednesday that he warned US President Donald Trump that the Russian leader is “bluffing” about wanting to stop the war.
On Friday, Trump and Putin will meet in Alaska, where Kyiv and its supporters fear the two leaders will try to impose the conditions of peace in the war that has lasted three and a half years.
During a joint briefing with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin, he stated, “I told the U.S. president and all our European colleagues that Putin is bluffing,”
Prior to the summit in Alaska, he is attempting to exert pressure on all fronts of the Ukrainian conflict. Russia is attempting to demonstrate its ability to occupy Ukraine as a whole.
