The bravery of Aitzaz Hasan, a ninth-grader at Government Higher Secondary School, Ibrahimzai, saved the district of Hangu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from a terrible disaster on January 6, 2014.
More than 400 children were spared when Aitzaz confronted a suicide bomber outside his school and pushed him to set off his explosives too soon. Sitara-e-Shujaat was given to Hasan posthumously in recognition of his valor.
His martyrdom was ten years ago today, and it is a time to remember his incredible bravery and selflessness. In a social media post on X, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif honored Aitzaz on the occasion.
We honor Shaheed Aitezaz Hasan’s sacrifice today. He was a true son of the soil from the district of Hangu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
