Lorde just described how her most recent album, Virgin, was inspired by Charli XCX.
The Speed Drive singer’s remix of “Girl, So Confusing” from her album Brat, which peaked at the top of the music album rankings, was a collaboration with the Ribs hitmaker.
This song, which was subsequently revealed to be about Lorde, was about Charli’s uncertainty over whether or not another musician liked her.
The two musicians then collaborated on the song’s remix, which allowed Lorde to express her viewpoint on the matter.
In addition, the 360 crooner and the Solar Power vocalist shared the stage at Coachella’s opening weekend.
