In light of Pakistan’s severe climate problems, three new digital platforms have been introduced to assist the nation in better managing its food, energy, and water resources.
At a national workshop in Islamabad on Tuesday, the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) unveiled the Water Productivity Atlas, the Water Body Inventory of Pakistan, and the Hydro, economic model for the Indus Basin.
Dr. Shezra Mansab Ali Khan Kharal, the State Minister for Climate Change, commended the inauguration, stating that these platforms will enable the government to use actual data for more effective planning. They would also assist balance the needs of various sectors and make decision-making more transparent, she said.
