Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos was a historic triumph, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who also claimed that the Pakistani military had exacted revenge for the 1971 war by responding forcefully and decisively to Indian aggression.
Speaking to soldiers stationed at the frontlines in Pasrur Cantonment, close to Sialkot, he declared, “History will forever record, how within few hours, Pakistan’s defenders extinguished India’s unprovoked aggression with unmatched precision and resolve.”
The prime minister was joined by Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal, and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
