Awais Leghari, the federal minister of energy, underlined Pakistan’s dedication to seeing the CASA-1000 project through to its early completion, describing it as an essential project for energy cooperation and regional integration.
He said these things while participating virtually in the Central Asia-South Asia (CASA-1000) power transmission project’s Intergovernmental Council meeting.
Speaking during the meeting, Leghari underlined that Pakistan is prepared to use the CASA-1000 network, which links the power grids of Central Asia and South Asia, to supply partner nations with more electricity during the winter.
The minister emphasized the initiative’s strategic significance in connecting Central and South Asia by saying, “This project is not just about electricity — it’s a bridge for regional harmony, development, and unity.”
