Celebi, a Turkish company that does airport ground handling in India, has filed a lawsuit against New Delhi for rescinding its security clearance, claiming that “vague” national security concerns were raised without justification.
The Indian government on Thursday canceled Celebi’s security clearance in the “interest of national security” amid mounting public indignation over Turkey’s position on Pakistan in the India-Pakistan dispute.
In a May 16 petition obtained by Reuters, Celebi Airport Services India requested that the Delhi High Court overturn the ruling, claiming it had been made without prior notice to the company and would affect 3,791 jobs and investor trust.
