According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs spokeswoman, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was formally invited to attend the inauguration ceremony of Pope Leo, the next spiritual head of Catholic Christians, on Friday.
Additionally invited to the ceremony are Punjab’s Minister for Minority Affairs, Ramesh Singh Arora, and Kheal Das Kohistani, Minister of State for Religious Affairs.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed that Ramesh Singh Arora and Kheel Das Kohistani would both represent Pakistan at the function. According to the spokeswoman, the provincial minister and the state minister are expected to leave for Vatican City today.
