LONDON: In the Southwark Crown Court, the Indian-origin man who attacked the Pakistan High Commission London during the recent conflict between India and Pakistan claimed that he was the sovereign Maharaja of the State of Jammu and Kashmir and as such, he should be granted immunity from prosecution before December 2022.
On Thursday, Ankit Love made an appearance before the Westminster Magistrates’ Court, maintaining that he was (the) His Highness Maharaja of Kashmir and that, in accordance with British law, he was “therefore entitled to immunity under section 20 of the State Immunity Act 1978 (“the 1978 Act”)”.
