ISLAMABAD The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and official sources have categorically denied rumors that Imran Khan, the founding chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), may be released prior to Eid ul Adha. According to The News on Sunday, not even the PTI anticipates it happening.
These denials coincide with conjectures in the political and media spheres of a possible agreement or court case that might result in Khan’s early release.
No case that is ready for Khan’s discharge is pending in any court right now, according to NAB authorities. According to a NAB source, “no notice has been issued to NAB in any matter that could result in his bail or release before Eid.”
